Faculty Member, Business, Government, and the International Economy
About
My research deals with the history of political economy since the Renaissance, focusing particularly on problems of industry, imperialism, and development; international competition and emulation; and the translation of economic works and transmission of economic practices in Europe and its colonies. I am currently completing my second book, tentatively titled "Renaissance Economics".
I am Series Editor of the "Economic Ideas That Built Europe" series with Anthem Press (London and New Delhi) and open to proposals.
